Instant - Chai tea mix

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Caster sugar (750ml)
  • 6 TSP Cinnamon, ground
  • 4 TSP Ginger, ground
  • 3 TSP Cardamom, ground
  • 2 TSP Nutmeg, ground
  • 1 TSP Pepper, ground (black?)

optional

  • vanilla pod...

Instructions

  1. Add everything to a blender, sugar first.
  2. Blend until uniform beige.
  3. Heat a mug with plant milk - microwave.
  4. Add one tablespoon of powdered mixture and stir.

Notes

  • I used black pepper, not sure it makes a difference.
  • If you want to add the vanilla, empty the contents of a vanilla pod into the blender with the 3 cups of sugar, spin. Store the used pod casing in the rest of your sugar stores so it permeates over time.
  • So, the original source of this spice mix had the values for the cinnamon and ginger reversed, in my mind, to dominant to appreciate the other spices...
  • My husband has decided on the sugar ratio... so, blame him.
