Ingredients
Base
- 2 cups self-raising flour
- 2 tsp sugar
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 1/2 - 1 cup of plant milk
- 1/2 tsp salt
Optional
- 1/2 cup roughly chopped fruit (dates etc.)
Instructions
- Combine dry ingredients in a bowl (add roughly chopped fruit if desired)
- Add butter and rub through with fingers
- Add milk ( a small bit at a time) until you have a sticky dough
- roll on a floured surface
- divide (for campfire use) or cut with a round cookie cutter (about scone size) into 6 equal parts
- Put in a 200 degree oven from cold for 15 minutes.
