Ingredients
- 4 big carrots
- 1500 grams of salt
- 8 grams wakame, soaked
- 25ml sun-dried tomato oil
- 50ml extra virgin olive oil
- 15ml apple cider vinegar
- 10ml soy sauce
- 10ml liquid smoke
Instructions
- Preheat over to 180 degrees, fan forced
- In a large over proof dish, cover the bottom with salt
- Wet 4 carrots under the tap and place on top of salt
- Completely cover with salt
- Place in oven for 1 hour and 40 minutes
- Remove from oven and allow to cool
- Break open salt and remove carrots
- Gently peel the carrots with your hands, try not to break the carrots.
- Slice the carrots as thin as you can
- Place into a zip-lock bag
- Add the rest of the ingredients to the bag
- Gently mix into the carrots
- Marinate for 8 hours
- Put them on bagels with you favourite vegan cream- cheese
