Ingredients
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup mirin
- 1/4 cup sake
- A handful of dried bonito flakes
Instructions
- Put all ingredients in a saucepan.
- Bring mixture to a boil, turn off the heat and allow to cool in the pot.
- Strain the mixture once cold and transfer to an airtight jar for storage in the fridge.
- Use in a 1:3 ratio with water to make using soup broth.
Notes
- if you do not have mirin, or don't want to use sake or bonito consider using the vegan version also found in this application.
