Ingredients
DRY INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 banana, sliced (save a few for topping)
- 1 Tbsp chia seeds
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
WET INGREDIENTS
- 3 cups liquid ( water, plant milk or both)
GARNISH
- 2 Tbsp peanut or nut butter of choice
Instructions
- Add oats, banana slices, chia seeds, cinnamon & salt to a pot. Add liquid and stir to combine.
- Heat over medium-high heat for 8-10 minutes or until all the liquid has been absorbed.
- Divide oat mixture into two bowls, garnish with reserved banana slices, nut butter and anything else you like.
Notes
- Be sure to stir oats several times while cooking, so the bananas melt rather than burn, and the chia seeds don't clump together.
- Recipe is just under 370 calories per serve when made with water alone and smooth peanut butter.
